Her Campus: What has been your favorite moment at Manhattan College?
 
Sean Carroll: Last year our men’s basketball team got a bid to the NCAA tournament. My friend Greg and I made a last minute decision to book a flight and hotel in Orlando, Florida to go support our school in the big game. Manhattan held Louisville to a close nail biter and almost pulled out the win at the end. The media publicity our school received was excellent and made me proud to be a Jasper. 
 
HC: What activities are you involved in on campus?
 
SC: I am currently involved with the marketing and investments club at Manhattan. Recently I have been looking into LOVE trips and maybe a study abroad program in the new future. Looking forward to traveling! 
 
HC: Who is your favorite professor?
 
SC: My Alcohol and Substance abuse teacher. The first class he told us to refer to him “Martin.”  What college professor makes you call him by his first name and fires off a live round in class? If anyone has a free elective they need to fill I highly recommend the class, it was interesting to say the least.
 
HC: Favorite class you have ever taken at MC?
 
SC: Oceanography. Although it has nothing to do with my major, I enjoyed taking it as an elective. The subject matter interested me, mainly because I grew up being around the ocean and considered marine biology as a major when I was applying to colleges. 
 
Fun Facts:
 
HC: Where do you see yourself in five years?
 
SC: In 5 years, to be honest I haven’t thought that far ahead. My dream job is to be involved with the stock market in some way. I currently have a program set up with a broker at Merrill lynch so we will see where that takes me. Hopefully in five years I’ll be settled down somewhere.
 
HC: Favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream? 
 
SC: Peanut Butter Fudge
 
HC: Blondes or brunettes? 
 
SC: Brunettes, from my experiences they are more down to earth and easier to connect with. But I have nothing against blondes.
 
HC: Favorite kind of music?
 
SC: Country. My favorite artists are Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton. I’ll listen to rap when I’m out at the bars but can’t get anything out of it. Country music actually relates to my life and I appreciate artists that can sing and play an instrument without autotune and synthesizers. 
 
HC: Ideal girlfriend? 
 
SC: Someone who I can be myself around. If you aren’t weird I can’t date you. Life’s about laughing and having fun. I look for girls with a good sense of humor, ambition, and self respect. 
 
HC: Ideal date?
 
SC: How about a packed cooler and a trip to the beach? That sounds ideal to me! But if you’re looking for something more formal I wouldn’t mind a nice dinner in downtown NYC and a few drinks after.

She loves to travel to learn about different cultures and has had the incredible opportunities of studying abroad in Paris and London. In addition, she plans to visit Milan in January and is ecstatic to learn about the Italian culture along with exploring the beautiful country.
