Name: Mukiyanna Yalia Kamara

Year: Sophomore

Major: Double Major: Finance and Marketing

Hometown: Sacramento, California

Favorite class this semester: Microeconomics

Go-to study spot: I have a single room, o I usually just study there.

Favorite study snack:  Hot Cheetos… they are my life.

Finals theme song: I have recently got back into reggae music. So I’ve been listening to that when studying for exams or doing homework.

Weirdest study habit: I usually get excited when I’m listening to my favorite playlist and I just start dancing randomly. Then I get right back to whatever I was studying. That’s probably why I study in my room most of the time.

I couldn’t have passed my finals without: Who said I was going to pass? But on a serious note, motivations. I like reading the littlest quotes or my daily Muela Motivations to help me remember why I’m here and that at the end it’s all going to be worth it if i put in the work.

Hopes and dreams for next semester:  My hopes and dreams next semester is to grow more as a person and do 101 times better than I did this semester. I can’t lie, this semester was rough. I’m just looking to grow and I want to enjoy the college experience with good people. Also I’m getting a apartment with two of the most caring people I have ever met, so I’m also looking forward to our experience together and the memories we are going to create.

Any words of wisdom for others suffering through finals?

Honestly I know it may be easy to say not to stress., but I’ve learned that if you just relax and believe that you can do it, then everything will be fine, I promise. Also a major key is to not procrastinate. I know we all do it, but it is probably the worst thing you can do to yourself. If you prepare ahead of time, the world will always be in your favor.Â
