Fun Fact: I’m a twin and the song “Teenage Dream” was written about me. I’m the one that got away and I made Katy Perry feel like a firework.
What made you come to MC? I wanted to go to a school that was in a city, so that knocked my choices down to a few. I wanted a small school that actually looked like a college and not like an office building. Plus, my favorite color is green so that was the REAL deciding factor.
What’s your favorite thing to photograph for the Quad? The All-American Rejects were cool, but I mean it’s kind of a tie between that and the basketball games…. OH am I campus celeb because I’m the Quadrangle photographer? I’m making this connection now.
When did you first get into photography? I started to realize that I was good at taking pictures on my phone and Instagram, which is such a stupid way to get into photography, haha. I got my camera and I just kept taking pictures and practicing and I just started to get better, not that I’m any good now, hahaha. But like six months later, I was on the court of Barclays, which is awesome.
Where is your favorite place to shoot? Hunter’s Point, Queens. You can get a really cool skyline pic there. It’s not like the Brooklyn Bridge or Central Park where you can take a picture of a potato and you’ll get a cool shot. I can consistently get a cool picture there, plus no one knows about it…. I’m like a picture hipster.
What’s the weirdest question you’ve been asked on a tour? It’s a tie on two opposite ends of the spectrum. One mom asked me how many security cameras there are in the library and I responded, “I don’t know if we have security cameras in the library” and I’ll tie that up with a question by a mom who basically asked me what the smoking scene was like on campus and I told her cigarettes were allowed on the quad and she said “not that kind of smoking…” They were from San Francisco.
What are your plans for the summer? Lifeguarding, go visit friends… maybe visit Abby… is that on the record? Hahah. I’ll probably get a gym membership and not use it, but I heard they have a really good café there.
Where’s your favorite place to go out on the weekends? Rest in peace to the Lake House, but now I like An Beal, I’m classy, not your classic Riv City.

What would be your perfect date? For me, an ideal date would be showing up to her house and she got me ice seats behind Hank at the Rangers game and in the seat next to me a pile of McNuggets. But, if I wanted to impress a girl, I would have her get dressed up, take a cab downtown to the Museum of Natural History so we could walk around and actually talk and learn about each other. It’s different and fun because anyone can buy a ticket to a movie, but this is special. Then we could get dinner or walk in the park after.
