While in college I found it hard to manage my spending, especially because I was someone who relied on her high-end beauty products that would break the bank. Until I found five makeup dupes that won’t put a hole in your wallet and really work.

1. Morphes Flawless Beauty Sponge $8 vs. BeautyBlenders The Original BeautyBlender $20

Using a makeup sponge to do my makeup truly changed my life. My foundation and concealer went on much smoother than when I applied it with a brush. One of my favorite beauty sponges to use is Morphes Flawless Beauty Sponge- it gives you the same beautiful finish that BeautyBlenders The Original BeautyBlender would give you for a much cheaper price.

2. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser $5.79 vs. Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Face Primer $32

For me, primer is my best friend when it comes to makeup. I’m not afraid to admit that I have huge pores that need to be hidden. Maybelline’s Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser was a miracle for me. It was like my huge pores disappear.

3. L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise $9.99 vs. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara $24.00

Finding the perfect mascara can be a hard task. Some just don’t make your lashes look as a good as they should. A favorite mascara to makeup gurus is Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. However, L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise is a cheaper alternative that gives you the same effect as Too Faced’s mascara that is less than half the price.

4. NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil $10 vs. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz $21

One thing you need to get right when doing your makeup is eyebrows. Eyebrow pencils can make doing your brows a quick and easy process. One of my favorite pencils is NYX’s Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil. It gives you stylish brows but at a lower cost, and if you’re someone like me who is new to filling in their eyebrows, it is a cheap product you can use to experiment without breaking the bank.
