A Brush with Blush: Pink shades for Spring/Summer 2014

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Manchester chapter.

We were hit with a new infatuation for pink this season, welcoming coats of the feminine shade into our typically gloomy winter wardrobes… and now the love affair is about to get serious!

Pink shades are set to find a permanent place across all garments throughout Spring and Summer this year. From dusty pastels to deeper tones, for example, coral.

  • Get ready to jump on the pretty bandwagon!

For those of you who weren’t brave enough to inject a bit of bold colour into your familiar winter outfits, now is the time to get colourful! The days are getting lighter(-ish!), Easter is almost around the corner, and the sun… hopefully… maybe one day… will reappear again!

In this coming season, pink is for everyone! So even if you’re not a girly girl, you can still embrace the colour. Try opting for the muted tones as a substitute for white, and pairing with trusty grey/black. Or, if you are already a devoted fan of the colour, become more experimental by layering different shades together.

Take a look at some of the pinks that are available on the highstreet right now-
