The Evolution of Justin Bieber

Justin Drew Bieber is a Canadian singer who grew up in Ontario, Canada. He first experienced his love for music at the age of two, when he was given his first drum set for Christmas. As he got older he started singing songs on Youtube at just twelve years old. He was then discovered by an American record executive, Scooter Braun, and signed with RBMG Records in 2008. After being discovered by his manager, Scooter Braun, he had met User in Atlanta and he became Justin’s mentor from there.

Justin Bieber had a rough home life growing up. His mom, Pattie Mallette, had him at the young age of 19. She raised Justin all on her own after his father, Jeremy Bieber, had left them. Justin would sing in front of the Avon Theatre at just twelve years old. This was a way for Justin to make money for him and his mother. He earned about $150 per day just by showcasing his love and talent for music. 

Justin’s first album came out in November 2009 called My World. This album featured many hit songs like “One Less Lonely Girl,” which became a Top 20 hit on the Hot 100 chart. He then had a mainstream breakout hit called “Baby.” This song was released in January 2010 reaching No. 5 on the Hot 100 chart and became one of the most-viewed videos in YouTube’s history. 

From the years 2010 to 2014 Justin Bieber had risen to fame. He had multiple albums and hit songs. But, while his career was taking off and he had many highs, he also started to have many lows. Even though Justin was an icon, a role model, and much more he was still a teen just trying to figure out life. Unlike other teens, all of his outbursts and mistakes were caught on camera for the public to see. 

In 2014 Justin Bieber was charged with drunken driving, resisting arrest, and driving without a valid license after police saw the pop star street racing early Thursday morning in Miami Beach. There were many more instances like disturbing his neighbors and being rude to his fans. 

In 2015 Justin had changed his ways and found his purpose. He came out with an album called Purpose. The title reflects him moving forward with life and finding his relationship with God again. While Justin was on tour for this album he had decided to take a break and cancel the last leg of his tour due to being both physically and mentally unhealthy. 

“I was really tired emotionally, physically, and I was sick and I didn’t realize I was sick,” he [Justin Bieber] told Zane Lowe. “I had Epstein-Barr, which is like, it’s called Mono. And then I have Lyme disease. So it was that, it was just the exhaustion of just being on tour, and then it was just everything compounded I think, to be honest.” 

So from 2015 to 2020 Justin Bieber has taken a break from the spotlight. It wasn’t until 2020 he produced a new album called Changes. This album was about regaining his faith in God once again, and to pay tribute to his new wife, Hailey Baldwin. 

Finally, in 2021 he released his sixth album called Justice. While the world was going through a global pandemic, Justin had used this time to write new music. He said that his objective in making this album was to provide comfort to the listener. Especially since a lot of people had been in isolation for so long, he feels that music will really bring people together. He will be going on tour for this album starting in February 2022. This will be his first time on tour since 2015.

I think Justin Bieber is very talented and really has a love for music. Even though he has had a hard time in the past, I think he is ready to go back on tour and continue living out his dream!
