Calling all Harry Potter fans!
You may not know this, but London has many different activities and tours related to the Harry Potter films. While visiting London, you might not have time to do everything, so here are four worthwhile Harry Potter activities to do on your next trip to London!
Harry Potter Studio Tour
If you are a Harry Potter fan, you should definitely go visit the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. Warner Brothers have a tour just for Harry Potter fans which is called “The Making of Harry Potter.” During the tour, you can see some of the amazing sets from the movies. Some of the sets you can visit are the Great Hall, the Forbidden Forest, Platform 9¾, and more. The tour also allows fans to see the original costumes. While on the studio tour, you get an inside of how all of the special effects were made. Depending on what time of the year you go, there are different themes happening.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
When in London, it’s definitely worth going to watch the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play. The play is based on Harry Potter’s life after Hogwarts. The play shows what the children of the golden trio have up to during their time at Hogwarts. The show brings back some of our favorite characters from the franchise. The special effects are so well done that it brings you into the story. The play is made into two parts, so make sure to have two nights planned to see it.
Platform 9¾
If you don’t have time to go to the Harry Potter Studio Tour but want to see Platform 9¾, I have a solution for you. If you go to the King Cross Station in London, there is a designated Harry Potter area. In this area, there is the famous platform 9¾. You can see the cart going through the wall, and you can snap a picture with it! It is definitely a fun experience if you can’t go on the studio tour. Next to the photo op, there is a Harry Potter store filled with amazing merch and gadgets.
Potion Experience
Have you ever wanted to make a potion when watching the Harry Potter movies? Well, now you can! The Cauldron London gives you the experience to brew your own potion! This is a super fun afternoon activity to do with your friends. When arriving at the Cauldron London, they give you a wand and a robe. This experience definitely makes you feel part of the wizarding world.
