As someone who is a huge fan of Colleen Hoover and especially the book It Ends With Us, I was very excited to see the sequel series It Starts With Us, being released. But wait…there is even more excitement coming! In July of 2019, filmmaker Justin Baldoni announced he will be developing the It Ends With Us movie.
After experiencing nearly every emotion before/during/after reading the books, the announcement has been made that the screenplay’s first draft has been completed. Everyone who has read the books went crazy. Fans have had mixed reactions about the cast announcement that was made earlier this week. Although most books do not have a detailed description of what every character looks like, fans were shocked to see who made the cut in the cast.
Lily Bloom is a young post-college graduate who moved to Boston, she is described as brave and bold but she also has a compassionate side to her. Ryle Kincaid is a young neurosurgeon who is assertive, stubborn, and can be aggressive “You fell Lily”… Anyways, Atlas Corrigan is caring, supportive, and the type of person you would want as your first love.
Many fans were expecting the character Lily Bloom to be played by Sadie Sink who is most well-known for her role in Stranger Things. Fans were also expecting Ryle Kincaid to be played by Jamie Dorian who is known for his role in 50 Shades of Grey playing the role of Christian Grey. However the cast that has been selected includes stunning Blake Lively who will be portraying Lily Bloom, Justin Baldoni will be portraying Ryle Kincaid, and Shane West will be portraying Atlas Corrigan.
This movie will definitely be the movie all the booktok girlies will see immediately. However, even with some pushback from fans it will be very exciting to see these amazing actors and actresses pull this off.
The It Ends With Us movie has yet to have a release date however fans speculate that it will be released in late 2024.
