Yes, once again it is that time of the year. The season of fall seems to be one of the most popular seasons in the United States. It is the season of pumpkin spice and all things nice. It is also the season of Halloween. To be honest these are rather foreign things to me. I’m not that big into pumpkins or Halloween (sorry to admit it). At home we call fall, autumn, and it’s just a time of the year that is beautiful with the foliage but also a sign that it is going to get super cold soon. But if you’re living in Florida that is not the case.

At first, my first experience of fall in Florida was interesting. Basically on the 1st of September all the stores are full of pumpkin scented candles and pumpkin themed everything. Orange and maroon colored ornaments, and tea towels. Basically everything is fall orientated. I understand it as fall is the season for coziness and comfort, the season that makes home feel like home. And also to some extent family time. To be honest sometimes I feel sad for Florida as we don’t experience the foliage to the full extent like the majority of the rest of America does. But there’s no need to be fooled by this.

While everyone is watching the leaves fall off the trees, down south in Florida we carry-on. Yes the humidity goes away and it gets slightly cooler but this is some of the best weather to ever experience in America. You can still wear shorts and a T-shirt with a light sweatshirt, we can still go to the beach if you’d like, and most of all you finally get to turn the AC off and open the windows to get that fresh air. The nice thing about Florida in the fall is that when you want to be outside you’re not necessarily sweating all the time and it is not extremely cold either. It is just simply perfect.

So yes the state of Florida might miss out on the true stereotypical fall season but at the end of the day think about how many people flock to Florida for the cold months. We all know its not that bad at the end of the day.
