Dua Lipa is back on tour!
After having her tour postponed for two years due to Covid-19, she is finally up on the stage again. The tour started on February 9th in Miami, Florida, and she is going to be touring all over the world. Dua Lipa is going to have a busy year in 2022! I was fortunate enough to go see Dua Lipa on opening night. I am here to give you the whole rundown of her amazing show.
Music
I think we can all agree that Dua Lipa has no bad songs. Listening to the songs on your phone vs. in concert is a whole different thing. During the concert, Dua Lipa played some of her major hits like Break My Heart, Levitate, New Rules, Electricity, and One Kiss. She also played all of her songs from her Grammy-winning album Future Nostalgia. She did a fantastic job coordinating the songs to the outfits to the visual effects to the dances. During her song Levitate Dua Lipa literally levitated during the song! Dua Lipa has an amazing voice, and she was an amazing performer during the show. She managed to get the whole crowd engaged and sing along to her songs. There were so many great songs she performed, but I was super excited to hear her perform Pretty Please and Levitate.
Visual Effects
The visual effects of the Future Nostalgia Tour are on another level. Dua Lipa did not hold back with the creativity of the tour. There was so much color with the lighting and the background effects. All of the background visual effects were amazing, but that’s not what caught everybody’s eye. During her performance of We Good, Dua Lipa made it look like she was in a hot tub, and behind her, there was an enormous crab. Her visual team did an amazing job creating intriguing visual aspects and bringing it on stage. Now having a giant crab on stage is eye-catching, but seeing Dua Lipa levitating is even better! During her song, Levitating, Dua Lipa went up in the air and levitated. I was so shocked and excited! She wasn’t levitating as she did at the 2020 AMA’s, but this was still amazing. She was thousands of feet in the air and still performed like a rockstar.
Outfits
Dua Lipa has a fantastic sense of style, and her fashion is always on point. I was very excited to see what she was going to wear on tour as the past performances’ outfits were amazing. Dua Lipa did not disappoint with her tour outfits. She started the night with a bright yellow-greenish one-piece with full-length gloves. She then continued with a glitter bodysuit which she later attached to a long skirt, which made her look like a goddess. The next look was a retro workout outfit. She wore bright pink leggings and paired them with a black top and bottoms. Her final look at the show is one of my personal favorites. Dua Lipa wore a black glittery one-piece. There is something about that outfit that screams pop star. Dua Lipa did not disappoint with her looks!
Dance
The dance moves of this tour got a massive upgrade from the last one. In 2020, everyone on TikTok was making fun of Dua Lipa’s dance moves, so she decided to joke around with it on the Future Nostalgia Tour. The dancers were fantastic, everyone was coordinated, and the lifts were fun to watch. The dances were so fun that they made everyone in the crowd want to dance. Dua Lipa and her team have been rehearsing for months, so obviously, they are pros now.
The Future Nostalgia Tour is a night I will remember my whole life. It has always been a dream of mine to see Dua Lipa in concert, so I am glad I got to fulfill it. Seeing Dua Lipa in concert is definitely a must!
