All About My Disney Trip Over Break

Welcome back my readers!

I hope you all had a wonderful break and a happy holiday. Now that school is starting again, I wanted to go over what I did over break. I wasn’t able to do much because I sadly got sick during the holidays, but before I did go to Disney World with my family!

I have been going to Disney on vacation ever since I was about five years old. As a kid I loved it. I was just a joyful little kid going to Disney and seeing all the princesses and other characters being able to hug them and everything. But since we are in COVID times now, a lot of things have changed.

Masks

The first thing that’s different is all COVID related restrictions. We are sadly still living in pandemic times, so Disney requires all people to wear a mask while indoors. This includes Disney Resort Hotels, food courts, restaurants, and even if a ride is indoors. I would say that Disney definitely implements wearing a mask and will say something to you if you are not, which can be a good thing to keep everyone safe.

Characters

One of the main things I loved about Disney as a kid was seeing all the different characters and princesses. I would remember meeting the princesses and looking and feeling their dresses because they were just so beautiful. This was a big part of my childhood and I think that’s what makes Disney the best. But, I noticed when I went this time around there weren’t as many characters and princesses walking around like when I was younger. This honestly made me quite sad because I was thinking these kids that are here will not get the same experience I had. My best advice is if you want to see characters on your next Disney trip, you must go to a parade or wait in line. One place where I saw all of the princesses was as soon as you walk into Magic Kingdom. They will be standing on the banister above the entrance to get in. But if you want to get a better view of them go to where the bathrooms are right as you walk in and your will see ropes cutting the exist off. This is where the characters have to go to leave and enter the banister. So if you go over there and wait for them to leave you will get the best view!

Rides

The rides are one of my favorite parts and as you get older they get better and better! Some of my favorite rides are Expedition Everest, Pirates of the Caribbean, Test Track, Soarin’ Around the World, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and many more. Every time I went on a ride I just felt so happy and it really took me back to my childhood. I think the rides overall at Disney are really good. They have many attractions  for multiple ages so it’s definitely a good trip for younger and older kids.

Overall, I really enjoyed my Disney trip this past month. Even though it was different from when I was a kid it wasn’t a bad one. We are still sadly in COVID times so that has changed Disney a bit but it is for everyone’s safety which is understandable.

If you are looking to go to Disney anytime soon I would definitely say do it, especially if it is your first time going!
