As someone who constantly plays music in the background, I love creating playlists to make studying more bearable. This midterm season I’ve been listening to both longtime favorites and songs I discovered over the past six months. My music taste is always evolving, but I found even more songs and artists by exploring Spotify and TikTok. I enjoy listening to indie folk and alternative pop music while I’m preparing for exams. I’ve chosen songs that capture the exhaustion of studying and writing papers, but also send good vibes. I believe that music helps me develop a positive attitude and a strong work ethic for the atmosphere I build in my study space. Here are my go-to songs for surviving midterms this season!

“Are You Bored Yet?” by Wallows (feat. Clairo)

“Mess” by Noah Kahan

“River” by Leon Bridges

“Light On” by Maggie Rogers

“Heavy” by Birdtalker

“Poetry” by Wrabel

“Spirits” by The Strumbellas

“Broken” by lovelytheband

“i’m so tired…” by Lauv and Troye Sivan

“Float On” by Modest Mouse

“Roll Up” by Fitz and The Tantrums

“Suit and Jacket” by Judah & the Lion

What are you listening to right now? Let us know on socials by tagging us, @HCatLUM! Keep an eye out for more playlists coming this week, just in time for midterm season!
