The most wonderful time of the year is not complete without an amazing soundtrack. I think a Christmas playlist is one that has a mix of classic holiday songs and newer ones (c’mon, Mariah Carey has to make an appearance!) That’s why I have curated my version of the perfect Christmas playlist that you can listen to while you’re baking cookies, decorating the tree, or making a gingerbread house.

My Cozy Christmas Playlist

The Christmas Song – Nat King Cole

Last Christmas – Wham!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! – Frank Sinatra

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year – Andy Williams

All I Want for Christmas is You – Mariah Carey

It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas – Michael Bublé

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree – Brenda Lee

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer – Dean Martin

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Kelly Clarkson

Do They Know Its Christmas? – Band Aid

Frosty the Snowman – Ella Fitzgerald

Winter Wonderland – Tony Bennet

Baby it’s Cold Outside – Idina Menzel and Michael Bublé

(There’s No Place Like) Home for the Holidays – Perry Como

Believe – Josh Groban

Sleigh Ride – Ella Fitzgerald

Holly Jolly Christmas – Burl Ives

For me, classic Christmas songs bring a sense of nostalgia. They remind me of when I was a kid, eagerly waiting for Santa to stop at my house. Although listening to the same songs every year can get repetitive, it also brings the coziness we’re all craving as the weather gets colder. Adding a newer version of an old classic is also a great way to change up a playlist!

Check back for more holiday content coming from our HC at LUM writers every day through December 25th!
