March was full of madness. Whether you are a sports, music or pop culture enthusiast there is a lot going on at the moment. I felt that March was not a real month this year. It was like a year packed into 31 days. And I missed A LOT!

For sports fans:

  • The University of Houston was predicted to win March Madness with a 13.4% prediction in their favor according to The Analyst and CBS Sports. (LUM will always be a winner for me.)
  • According to CBS Sports, in the NHL, the Bruins have a winning streak of 10 games. Tony DeAngelo on the Flyers was suspended for two games due to spearing. Kaprizov will miss three to four games due to injury. Will the Bruins pull through to take the cup from the Avs in 2023?

For music lovers:

  • Taylor Swift has released 4 new songs for the albums Midnight. Concert goers are still reeling from “TicketGate.”
  • Vinyl records outsell CDS for the first time since 1987. Spin it up!

For pop culture lovers:

  • Michelle Yeoh became the first Asian woman to win an Oscar for best actress. So many Oscar firsts this season, but this was a win for women and inclusivity.
  • Selena Gomez has more followers than Hailey Bieber. That is all that needs to be said.

For trendsetters:

  • In fashion is showing softer tones and structure. The concept seems to be more free this spring, according to Vogue. Move over Wednesday Addams fans, gothic is getting a pink lift.
  • In makeup, we will see the bold makeup making a comeback according to Harper Bazaar. Blue eye shadow anyone? Or purple eyeliner?

Excuse me while I go put my record on, throw out my 6 palette neutral skin tone eyeshadow, and catchup on a few hours of movies while purging the black from my closet. March was mad.
