As February has flown by, it’s almost time to start thinking about the month of March and what’s in store for the future! With my own birthday in March (the 12th!), so many fun activities coming up on campus, and the spring season right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to break out new songs for your playlist to get you into the spirit of the (hopefully soon) warm weather. There’s nothing better than putting new music onto your monthly playlists and finding new favorites to enjoy! Here are four of my favorite songs right now that I think would be perfect for a March playlist.

  1. The Glue Song by beabadoobee

While Valentine’s Day and the season of love has passed, this song still is such a classic and cute love song that I think it fits all year round. Beabadoobee, a Filipino-British singer and songwriter, released this song on Valentine’s Day of this year after teasing the release for a few weeks. Her music is a mix of indie and rock, and any of her songs make the perfect addition to any playlist. However, this song specifically just gives the perfect vibes to be put on an early Spring playlist to enjoy. Maybe you can even dedicate it to someone!

  1. Nonsense by Sabrina Carpenter

I’ve seen Sabrina Carpenter’s music all over social media lately, and I’m so glad her music is regaining the spotlight again. Carpenter is incredibly talented, and her music reflects her immense talent for singing and songwriting. This song just has the perfect upbeat vibes to put onto a playlist when you’re walking to class or need some background music for studying or doing work!

  1. Lavender Haze by Taylor Swift

I had to include Taylor because her music is iconic. However, this song specifically stuck out to me from the Midnights album as one that can be a staple for any playlist and perfect to put on your March song list. Also, the name is just so pretty and when I do think of lavender, I think of springtime! The song itself is also amazing and so vibe-y for this season. This song (and Taylor!) are must haves this season.

  1. Mind Over Matter by Young the Giant

One of my very good friends recommended me this song a few months back and it’s been replaying in my head ever since. I hadn’t listened to much from Young the Giant before, and this song felt like the perfect introduction to their music and general vibe. I think this song is great for anyone who has never listened to them or is a fan and needs a classic song to add to their playlist!

And now you have some new songs for your perfect spring playlist! Plug in your headphones, enjoy the (slowly but surely) warm weather, and let yourself vibe!
