The Witching Hour – a Playlist via The Midwest Witch

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LUC chapter.

Every Friday during The Witching Hour on WLUW 88.7fm, the clouds seem to get darker, the air seems to get cooler, and the music seems to get spookier.

The Midwest Witch is a DJ at Loyola’s student run radio station whose show is more eerie than Halloween itself. The Witching Hour features female-identified musicians only, including transgender and non-binary artists.

From classic witches such as Stevie Nicks and Siouxsie & the Banshees to modern enchantresses like FKA Twigs, Angel Olsen, and SuperKnova, The Witching Hour is chock full of strong empowering witches.

To celebrate Halloween, the most important day of the year, The Midwest Witch has created a playlist with elements of The Witching Hour. Get spooky with it and stream this playlist all Halloweek long.
