Ever wondered what we do here at Her Campus LUC and how YOU can get involved? Read on!

Who are we?

Her Campus is the #1 national online media publication for college women, with hundreds of chapters at various universities across the country. Our chapter at LUC has been empowering collegiate women since 2015 by providing a creative outlet to share whatever they’re passionate about.

What do we do?

Our efforts are aimed at providing a creative outlet and media source for all self-identifying college women (though any gender identity is welcome).

We post articles — written by our very own members — on our website, promote articles across various social media platforms, and host professional development and fun bonding events across Chicago!

Why should I join?

Her Campus members are given the opportunity and creative support to write about any topics that interest them. In addition to writing articles, members can dabble in graphic design, photography, videography, or whatever media they choose! Everything gets published, with a byline, either to our website or social media platforms. If you’re looking to get published and build an online portfolio, Her Campus LUC is the place for you!

Her Campus Media houses a variety of other media groups, such as Spoon University, College Fashionista, and InfluenceHer Collective, which provides members with a network of hundreds of campuses and thousands of influencers and ambassadors.

Her Campus Media also partners with dozens of other brands, from beauty brands like Neutrogena to beverage brands like Coca-Cola, and often distributes products to members of the Her Campus community!

How can I get started?

Anyone interested in joining this vibrant creative community of college women can reach out to us via email at hc.luc@hercampus.com, or DM us on Instagram @hercampusluc!

Amanda is a senior at Loyola University Chicago studying English and multimedia journalism. She's originally from the Cleveland, Ohio, area and is a huge baseball fan. When she's not drowning in papers (and even sometimes when she is), Amanda can probably be found watching her latest Netflix obsession or drinking coffee in one of the many great cafés throughout Chicago.
