Here at HCLUC we are always excited for new beginnings, and this semester is sure to deliver. To start off what is sure to be a great year, we want to introduce our executive board so you can learn a little more about us before we bring you some awesome content. Read all about our team below!
Campus Correspondents
Amanda Maurer
Amanda is a senior at Loyola studying English and Multimedia Journalism (though she likes to joke that she’s majoring in “words”). Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio, area, Amanda fell in love with Chicago on a field trip in eighth grade and never looked back! On the occasions where Amanda is not holed up in the library writing papers, she’s probably in the kitchen whipping up a new dish or in a cozy spot reading her next favorite novel. She’s excited to serve in her second year as co-campus correspondent and is thrilled for the semester that lies ahead!
Grace Ingram
Grace is a rising senior at Loyola studying English and Multimedia Journalism. Grace grew up in the Chicago suburbs, and has looked forward to living in Chicago her whole life. Her passions include knitting, reading romance and fantasy novels, writing truly terrible poetry, and her cat Leia (who is a Gemini…as you can tell, she’s also very passionate about astrology). She’s incredibly excited to connect with all of the wonderful women involved with Her Campus and to experience what this year has in store!

Harshita Kumbham
Harshita is a senior at Loyola University Chicago studying Information Systems. She’s from the suburbs of Chicago and has too many hobbies to keep up with, but some of her favorites are baking, hiking, and cuddling with her two cats. When she’s not curating her extensive collection of Pinterest boards, she can be found curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee. She loves writing and editing for HCLUC because of the amazing community she’s found here and is excited to welcome new members this semester!

Sofia Joseph
Sofia’s pronouns are she/her, and she is a sophomore majoring in molecular and cellular neuroscience. She enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and going to museums during her free time. Sofia advocates for diversity and inclusivity as she volunteers for Expanding Lives, a non-profit organization that empowers young women in West Africa to be leaders in their communities. She hopes to attend medical school after graduating.

Kayla Kalu
Kayla is a rising junior at Loyola University Chicago studying Marketing. She is originally from the Chicago suburbs. In her free time, Kayla loves thrifting, drinking iced coffee, and exploring the city. She can’t wait to connect with everyone!

Marissa Rainone
Marissa is a rising senior studying Multimedia Journalism and Marketing, with big hopes of writing for a magazine some day. In her free time she loves to explore the outdoors, have movie nights with friends, fill notebooks up with new writings, and try new restaurants in Chicago! She can’t wait to connect with everyone on Her Campus and see all the amazing articles that everyone has in store!
Abril Arce
Abril is a rising junior studying Political Science and Marketing! A few things she loves are art, music, traveling, yoga, and plants. A main goal of hers is to help inspire women from all backgrounds to follow their dreams while staying true to themselves
Lilli Drewes
Lilli is a senior studying Finance and Spanish at Loyola University Chicago. When not studying and spending time with friends, you can find Lilli dancing, at the gym, or searching for the best cold brew in Chicago. In the future, Lilli hopes to combine her passion for the creative and her finance expertise to spend time traveling abroad.
Ellie Carignan
Ellie is a senior studying Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Marketing at Loyola University Chicago. She has been with Her Campus LUC for two semesters now and loves to be part of such a strong community of women! Ellie is passionate about graphic design, style, cooking, and reading in her free time.

Jazmin is a rising junior at Loyola studying Criminal Justice and Criminology. She was born in Chicago but raised in Texas! Jazmin loves to read any genre of books and shop, and she’s strictly an espresso kind of gal.
