‘Fit Friday with MOT: Blanket Scarves

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LUC chapter.

Loyola’s Men of Tomorrow club discusses fashion, etiquette and the confidence that comes with both. Each week they’ve got an expert style tip, ranging from formal to casual and everything in between, to help take us all to the next level.

Despite what the name might imply, MOT is not a club only for men. This week we’ve got Mary Margaret Morber, a senior education and English double major, here to give us the perfect solution to staying warm and looking cute: blanket scarves.

“It’s a fashionable, socially acceptable Snuggie,” said Morber. “And I love them!”

Although blanket scarves have been around for a few years, they’re still a trend that we’re here for. And despite being labeled as ‘basic’ by some, the style and comfort they offer simply can’t be ignored.

The versatile scarves come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, patterns and knits. You can wear them as part of your outdoor gear, to keep nice and cozy, or as part of your outfit for the day! They can be paired with everything from blouses to sweaters, allowing you complete freedom in your fashion choices.

Despite a vast array to choose from, some of our favorites include this chic camel-toned ASOS option for $23 and Lulus geometrical black and white scarf for $22.
