Collegiettes everywhere rejoice when the last hot day of the year passes, and they can look forward to cool breezes and scarves. We look forward to fall every year! Here in Rogers Park, there are some very clear indications that the leaves are about to fall.Â
1. You can’t walk between Cuneo and Mundelein without literally all of your hair flying directly into your face (and sticking to your lips, ugh).
2. Enjoying a nice walk along the lake becomes impossible – unless you’re used to navigating gale force winds.
3. Doing your hair in the morning is pointless, because by the end of the day it will look like a bird’s nest.
4. That new sweater you got is perfect for your morning classes, but by 2 PM, you could be wearing shorts and a tank top.
5. When it’s sunny out, the weather is what you’d consider perfect. Then you walk into some shade, and BAM… its 20 degrees colder.
6. You’re trying desperately to wear every cute summer outfit you have, because once it’s cold we’re all going to look like human snowmen. We’ll be bundled up in parkas and no one will even be able to see what you’re wearing.
7. A vague scent of pumpkin lingers in the air due to all of the pumpkin spice products lining the shelves of every store.
8. Speaking of pumpkin, the PSL makes its much-anticipated return to campus.
9. You realize how lucky you are to go to Loyola, because campus is even more beautiful in the fall!
Fall is in the air, collegiettes! Embrace it!
