So when someone destroys your heart and you’re ready to move on, what’s the new soundtrack to your life? Keep reading for five songs go get over any break up.

1. Changing of the Seasons – Two Door Cinema Club If you’re looking for a song to blast as your ex walks past you, this is it. The lyrics are even tweet worthy, as TDCC’s lead singer Alex Trimple sings, “cause every day, since you left me, I’ve thought less and less of you. And I’ve worn out all of the reasons to keep on knocking at your door, could be the changing of the seasons but I don’t love you anymore.”

2. Afraid – The Neighbourhood Ready to feel powerful? Listen to “Afraid.” Beware of some language in this track, although it’s perfect to truly feel self-confident. Imagine running into your ex practically anywhere and blasting from your iPod, the Neighbourhood telling them exactly how you feel. Take that!

3. Somebody Else – The 1975 If you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you might not know that The 1975 is back, and with music better than ever. “Somebody Else,” the tenth track on the album, has Matty Healy (heartthrob lead singer) swaying back and forth to The 1975’s new sound, singing about his past breakup. Perfect for playing on those lonely drives, Healy’s voice is perfect for singing along.

4. Lover, Please Stay – Nothing But Thieves It happens to everyone. There comes a time in the post-breakup where all that you think about is getting back together. Nothing But Thieves, a recent breakout rock band out of the U.K., had the perfect song to listen to. Conor Mason (lead singer) is honest with his feelings, relating to every feeling you’re having too. But really, you may want to have tissues with you the first time this gorgeous song is played.
