As the temperature cools, my closet always seems to expand. We’ve had a summer full of saturated color stories, a revival of patterns, and the universal comeback of espadrilles. Now it’s time to take a look at what I believe we’ll be seeing more of this fall season.

Loafers

I’m already seeing an increase of the female loafer, and with the plethora of styles and materials they come in, this stylish and professional shoe is such an easy way to class-up any fit.

Bell Bottoms

As someone who is 5’1 with extremely short legs, I’ve been adamantly against bell-bottoms for so many years. After trying my first pair on at Free People, however, I find myself utterly obsessed with these flare pants. Snagging a pair in maroon or brown is a sure way to up your game this fall season.

Orange Lip Gloss

I don’t think I’ve ever purchased an orange lip product, until I got the Wet Cherry lip gloss from Lime Crime in shade Tangy Cherry. It gives my lips the perfect flush of orange and I adore the non-sticky formula. I can see this being my go-to lippie this fall because it’s easy to wear and extra hydrating.

Fashion Backpacks

You’ve seen the mini-purse movement, now get ready for fashion backpacks. During my internship this summer downtown, I saw less and less people using bags or purses during their everyday commute. Instead, I saw so many new brands of backpacks, all of which fit perfectly with a stylish fit. I look forward to all of the new styles that come with the fall season, and overall I’m just relieved that I don’t have to pretend to love mini-purses anymore.
