Here’s Your Sign To Throw A Galentine’s Party With Your Friends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LSU chapter.

Are you looking for a fun way to celebrate Galentine’s Day with your friends? Look no further! I will give you all the ideas and inspiration you need to throw an unforgettable Galentine’s Day party.

Themed decorations

Set the mood with festive decorations that match the theme of your Galentine’s party. You can choose from themes like coquette bows-and-charms, cupid’s cowgirls, Parisian tea party, Taylor Swift Lover Era, and so many more!

For other decorations, there are heart-shaped balloons, glitter banners, flowers and kissy lips decor! Grab Valentine’s Day-themed plates and napkins! There are endless options to choose from.

Sweets and treats

You can’t have a party without food! Treat your friends to a spread of snacks and bring out the charcuterie board; have your friends bring their own charcuterie board or create your own on the spot.

Make sure to have a variety of sweet and savory options for everyone’s taste. From heart-shaped cookies and heart-shaped pizzas, to personalized cupcakes and brownies…I’m a big fan of chocolate and white chocolate-covered strawberries!

arts and crafts

Get creative with crafting activities that will keep everyone entertained. Set up a DIY-card making station or a friendship bracelet-making table. Making bouquets is my personal favorite.

Cookie decorating is a fun craft and sweet treat all in one! You could also decorate cakes from your local bakery by adding fruits, edible glitter and/or sweets on top.

Painting is also another fun idea to bring out your artsy side by painting candles, matchboxes or canvases. These activities will not only bring out your creativity, but will also serve as memorable souvenirs to take home.

games and activities

Plan fun games and activities to keep the laughter flowing. Try trivia quizzes about friendship, a photoshoot with props, or some karaoke!

There are plenty of ways to keep your guests entertained. My favorite game to play with my friends is For the Girls; it’s such a fun game and I highly recommend it!

gift exchange

Consider organizing a gift exchange among your friends. Set a budget and encourage everyone to bring a small, thoughtful gift for another guest. Wanna become someone’s secret cupid? It’s exactly like secret Santa!

Better yet, if you’re a book lover like me and so are your friends, you can gift your favorite books or their anticipated new releases! Win-win! This will add an element of surprise and make the celebration even more special.

movie marathon

What’s a better way to enjoy a night with your girls other than watching some movies!

Create a cozy space with blankets and pillows and prepare some snacks to munch on while enjoying the films. Choose a selection of romantic comedies, classic chick-flicks, or throwbacks that everyone will love.

mocktail/cocktail night

Have fun making your own mocktails or cocktails! You can search for cute and aesthetic recipes on TikTok or Pinterest.

Serve them in cute Valentine’s Day-themed cups or glasses to add a festive touch to the drinks. Don’t forget to provide non-alcoholic options for those who prefer them.

goodie bags

As the host of the party, you can create goodie bags for your girls to take home as souvenirs. Fill them with treats and gifts that match the theme of the party, or with things you know your friends will enjoy. Consider including items like scrunchies, stickers, hair clips, lip balms, or mini pampering products.

Spa Slumber Party

After a festive day, wind down with your girls by doing some skincare. Put on face masks, give each other hand massages, or just have a relaxing skincare routine while chatting and catching up. An at-home spa night is a great way to pamper yourselves and have fun together.

themed wear

Get in the spirit by dressing up according to the theme of the party. You can choose a specific theme for the dress code, such as pajama party, ‘80s fashion, or dress as a movie character.

Alternatively, you and your girls can opt for matching pajamas, fuzzy socks and bows for your hair to create a cozy and unified look…and because everything looks amazing with bows! It will add to the excitement and make for great photo opportunities.

Remember, the most important part of a Galentine’s party is celebrating the bond and friendship between you and your friends. So gather your favorite pals, follow these ideas, and get ready for a fantastic Galentine’s celebration!
