As my first Valentine’s Day alone in a few years lurks around the corner, I know I can’t be the only one dreading this February 14th.

So, ladies, what better way to cure a heart-shaped bruise than retail therapy?

Here’s a comprehensive list of everything you should spend your money on this Galentines.

To do:

Other than watching The Notebook

  • This heart-shaped cake tin from target and a scroll through Pinterest will cure your sweet tooth!

  • Sing your heart out in the car or serenade your besties with this karaoke microphone (and yes, it does have a disco-ball attached, don’t worry).

  • Gather up your friends and turn on your phone’s self-timer for a bright and cheery photoshoot! Grab some red and pink balloons, streamers, and other props from the dollar store or five-below and get creative.

To wear:

Comfy rom-com watching or date-night, look and feel your best, even with a mask.

  • These Target bralettes are the perfect cheap loungewear dupes for Urban Outfitter’s out-from-under collection

  • Splurge on yourself and check out these boujee and ethically made lingerie sets.

  • Staying in bed all day? Me too. Elevate your blanket game and get yourself a Comfy, trust me.

To give:

What’s the use in a day of love if you can’t share it with others?

  • Can’t be with the one you love this year? Send them this aesthetic (& yummy) cake, delivered right to their door for a sweet surprise.

  • If you’re celebrating with a best friend instead, take a note from Tiktok and get these matching “pinky promise” rings from Pandora to celebrate.

  • Spread a little extra love and treat your family by shopping small and getting a customizable gift on Etsy. My fave ideas are digitalized portraits that come directly to your phone/computer, or sweet personalized jewelry, maybe gifting a mother with her children’s initials. The more unique, the more meaningful!

Whether you’re celebrating alone or with someone special, spread love inside and out this Valentine’s/Galetine’s Day.
