Welcome back to Bachelor Nation Arie, I’d say you’ve been missed but that’s a lie.
After Chis Harrison left me feeling like an outsider when I got this notification, it was time to investigate!
Here are my findings:
My immediate thought was to stalk him on Instagram and all I came up with was a clip he posted of himself when he was a contestant on Emily Maynard’s season of Bachelorette in 2012.
Upon further digging, I found out (aka I read on ABC news) that he was known as the “kissing bandit” on his season. Who came up with that nickname?? He once described kissing Emily, saying “It’s like kissing my best friend. We have such a chemistry together that we can’t even speak, we just want to kiss each other,” Arie says. EW.
Anyway, he was the runner up for Emily who ultimately chose Jeff….5 years later HERE HE IS.
Some other fun facts about him:
- He was a race car driver
- He’s friends with Sean Lowe
- He speaks fluent Dutch
- He was going to be the Bachelor but then Chris Souls took his spot!
Lets hope this is the most dramatic season of the Bachelor in history!
