We’re officially back into the swing of things; with half the semester already over (but seriously how did that happen so fast??) now is the perfect time to re-group and re-motivate for the rest of the semester. We have some tips that we think will have you have a successful semester, but don’t take our word for it. We’re going to let Ryan tell you what to do.
Get Ahead
Early on in the semester it’s easy to stay on top of your work. But with midterms and essays piling up, at this point in the semester you might star to fall behind. Don’t stress! Create a game plan to get back on track, schedule time in your day to go to the library and please, save Netflix for the weekend.
For those late nights at the library, try 5-hour energy to keep you awake.
Take time for yourself
After all that studying be sure to take time for yourself, because frankly you deserve it! Whether that be reading a good book or putting on a facemask, make time at least once a week to do what you want to do.
Try our fave facemask, Origins Clay Mask ($ at Sephora) and relax while clearing up your skin. Or if looking like a zombie isn’t your thing, check out these new books that we’re loving!
Get involved on-campus…
It’s never too late to get involved. Join an organization to get involved on campus, meet new people, and bump up your LMU spirit! Make sure to check out Club Fest 2.0 this Friday October 23rd to preview all the clubs on campus.
…But also take time to explore off-campus
It’s important (and fun!) to be involved on campus, but don’t let it keep you from exploring the city of Los Angeles. Even if you just head down to the Marina to grab Chipotle or Mendo, you’ll still experience some amazing views of the water and see a little part of Los Angeles away from the bluff. LA has so much to offer and you definitely don’t want to miss out on it!

Don’t wear sweats to class (as tempting as it is)
Studies have proven that dressing for success is actually a thing. So next time you’re tempted to wear your lulu’s and Nike’s to class, think twice about it. Instead throw on an easy dress, comfy booties, a cute tote and pull your hear into a messy bun.
You can’t go wrong with a Brandy Melville t-shirt dress, some Jeffrey Campbell booties, and a MZ Wallace tote. To create a “I didn’t try when I actually tried really hard” messy bun look use a salt spray like this one from Tresemme.
