One Way To Continue To Support Cancer Awareness Through The Chilly Season

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Yet, as the spooky season moves into the chilly holiday season, it can be easy to forget about the year-round importance of cancer awareness. Luckily, there’s one company who’s here to help remind us. Love Your Melon, based in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, is a company that is dedicated to supporting the fight against pediatric cancer.

While Love Your Melon’s mission specifically concerns pediatric cancer, their company has given over four million dollars to nonprofit partners to both fight pediatric cancer and support families who have been affected.

Sometimes, while a company may be benefitting a great cause, the quality of the product just isn’t there. This is NOT the case with Love Your Melon. Since their founding in 2012, they have taken the U.S. by storm through organizations across college campuses (one was started at LMU in 2016), who strive to represent the brand and awareness through promotional and charitable events, as well as dozens of partners across the country. But in addition to all of their initiatives, their products are simply amazing. While beanies continue to be the core of their business (with dozens of colors, patterns, and styles to choose from), Love Your Melon also sells clothing, water bottles, headbands, blankets, home goods, baseball caps, scarves, backpacks, and even a fanny pack! So whether you think temps in the mid-60s are cold or not, just because we’re in L.A. doesn’t mean there aren’t ways to support through the holiday season and beyond. Fifty percent of their net profit is given to their nonprofit partners to support cancer research, awareness, and support year round!
