The One Color Sneaker you Don’t Have But you Absolutely NEED

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LMU chapter.

Everyone has that one pair of sneakers that are the most essential to them. Whether it be a classic pair of white Converse high tops, black and white checkerboard slip on Vans, or a clean pair of Adidas superstars. Whatever your preference is sneaker wise, the one color sneaker you absolutely need in your closet this year is: GREEN.

1. JJJJOUND OG OLD SKOOL LX in Green

Priced at: $150

The two tone color of green on this pair of old skools adds a unique twist that looks even cleaner and cooler than a regular pair of green old skools. The mix between the light and the dark green makes this shoe pairable with both neutrals and darker colors.

2. Tyler, the Creator x Converse GOLF le FLEUR in Jolly Green

Priced at: $100

Tyler has always been one to step out of the normal black and white color scheme by wearing bright and fun colors. His collab with converse can help you do the same by making a bright green pair of shoes both wearable from the simple style and playful with the accent of the flower. 3. Undftd x Converse One Star in Olive

Priced at: $110

This special collab between the infamous retail store Undftd and Converse gives a more subtle approach to the green sneaker. The color is much calmer and natural-toned but the shoe still embodies the classic look of a converse sneaker with the red and blue stripes and the off white sole.

4. Vans Old Skool 36 DX Sneaker in Black/Mineral Green

Priced at: $80

This pair of Vans Old Skools available through Opening Ceremony juxtaposes both a plain shoe and a funky shoe. The toe and heel of the shoe is black which makes the shoe wearable everyday whether it be with denim, an all black look, or an all white look. The bright green in the center acts as a fun accent on the classic shoe and makes the shoe pop despite the outfit you choose to pair it with.

5. Stussy Converse One Star ‘74 in Hunter Green

Priced at: $120

This pair of hunter green Converse One Star’s give off a fancier effect with a color scheme of darker hues. This would be a perfect shoe paired with a semi-casual all black outfit or a black wrap dress. The subtle design of the shoe makes it wearable for both casual day events and semi-formal night events.

Overall, the color green has become a popular one that brands have been playing around with. A good pair of green sneakers are necessary for your closet this year because as Bella Hadid said it best, homeboy can get iiiiitttt if he’s coming through with these.
