If there is one thing that all college students can agree on it is that Trader Joe’s is heaven on Earth. From their relatively low prices to their wide variety of easy to prepare meals, it’s pretty much everything we could ask for in a grocery store. The only downside of shopping at Trader Joe’s so often is that you kind of get stuck in a rut of your usual purchases. I thought I would share some of my favorite Trader Joe’s items that I picked up today in case anyone is looking to expand their cart.

Besides always having my staples of apples, bananas, almond milk, and avocados, I love Trader Joe’s because of their aray of store brand snacks and salads. Here are some of my favorites.

Trader Joe’s Honey Wheat Pretzel Sticks

The perfect snack for in between classes when you have a bigger meal coming up but need something salty and sweet to tide you over.

Trader Joe’s Roasted Plantain Chips

A recommendation from my friend Ceceli, these are now my new addiction. I always buy two bags because I eat them so quickly.

Trader Joe’s Soft & Juicy Mango

These are great for when you are on your third class of the day and both morale and blood sugar are at an all time low.

Trader Joe’s Raises the Bar

I’d brand this as the classic kids granola bar but for adults.

Trader Joe’s Cut Butternut Squash

This is a super easy to prepare snack or side dish that makes me feel like I have my life together because it’s a vegetable.

Trader Joe’s Southwestern Chopped Salad

This could possibly be one of my favorite salads of all time. You get a lot more actual salad than the boxed salads and it’s only $2.99. The kit comes with lettuce obviously, but also has dressing, a crunch mix of tortilla strips and pepita seeds, and cotija cheese to mix in. Sometimes I’ll also add avocado or black beans if i have any.

Trader Joe’s Scandinavian Swimmers

I don’t always get these but I had a gift card so I felt like I could treat myself a little. BUt seriously these are so good, highly recommend if you are looking for a fruity sugar fix.

Trader Joe’s Cold Pressed Juice

I get this when I feel like I’m not getting enough vegetables or want to feel like a health blogger. This one has greens and fruit which I like, and it’s not fruit puree like the other green juice they sell which has a lot of sugar. (Me: is worried about having too much sugar, Also Me: bought Scandinavian Swimmers #balance)

Trader Joe’s Mediterranean Style Orzo Pasta Salad

This is a relatively new favorite of mine that also came as a recommendation from Ceceli. It’s an easy lunch to take to work or class if you are going to be at school all day.
