Lipstick is without a doubt, my favorite makeup product of all time. It is the easiest way to amp up an otherwise simple outfit, or add some fierce confidence throughout the day. Nevertheless, the pretty little tubes, sticks, and pots are not always the most affordable. After a considerable amount of years spending more money on them than I should, I’ve narrowed down my favorite lipsticks/glosses/palettes/balms under $10!

Next time you’re browsing amazon.com or wandering the aisles of Target, or just not down to spend $20 on a tube of lipstick at Sephora, check out these products!

1. E.L.F. Lip Lacquer in Clear- $2

At only $2, this gloss will never do me wrong. This is a recent purchase of mine, and I’m seriously loving the light, not-too-sticky, smooth look it gives. It comes in plenty of shades, but Clear is my favorite and the most versatile. You could honestly stop reading my article here if you wanted, it doesn’t get more affordable yet great quality than this!

Tip-  You could even apply lightly this on eyelids for that trendy ~glossy~ look. Cute!

2.  Maybelline New York Lip Color Palette- $3.99

I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about this lip palette! I came across it after seeing how amazing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Palette looked. But at $48, it’ll have to wait. Thankfully, this little palette is surprisingly great! The colors are all pigmented enough for wear by themselves, but can also be mixed and matched for the perfect custom lip color. It even comes with a cute lip brush for mixing and applying!

Tip: Maybelline’s website provides lots of different ways and techniques to use the palette! My favorites from them are: “Just-Kissed Color – ditch the brush – use your ring finger to lightly pat your favorite color on lips, focusing on the center for a just-kissed pout,” and “Your Custom Shade – mix and layer 2 or more shades to create your own! Use plum to darken and cool down the lighter shades and the nude to make shades lighter.”

3.  Revlon Colorstay Lacquer Balm- $8

These little sticks are full of pigment, and come in multiple finishes/textures. The Lacquer balms in particular are offer a lot of shine and moisture. They leave a slight minty feeling on your lips, and smell really great. The formula is an interesting gel texture as well!

4. Maybelline Makeup SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick- $6

At around $6, the staying power of this liquid lipstick is amazing. The long applicator and sweet scent are also great bonuses. I also love how the sleek packaging displays the shade. There are around 20 shades to choose from, and it is completely kiss-proof, so your significant others and furry friends will thank you!

Tip: Because of the crazy-good staying power, the lipstick can be a little difficult to remove at the end of the day. I’d recommend any oil-based removers, such as plain coconut oil or an oil cleanser.

5. Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip-$6

The formula of these blotted lips is unlike anything I’ve tried. They look like watercolors, just for your lips! The sheer wash of color doesn’t budge throughout the day, and the thin consistency feels light and smooth. The only downside is that it is difficult to layer on, so it isn’t as buildable as other lipsticks. Other than that, these liquid lipsticks are super unique and fun to wear. I recommend shade Cherry on Top. It is a beautiful wash of dark red, just like you bit into a cherry!

Tip: For this to be truly under $10, purchase next time colourpop.com offers free shipping, which is often thankfully! Colourpop.com also offers 10% if you use UNiDAYS.

6. Rimmel Provocalips- $6

This is yet another liquid lipstick that doesn’t budge! Unlike the Maybelline one, Rimmel’s provocalips comes with a gloss to top off the color, which is key to its’ staying power while also providing moisture. It comes in a variety of daring, vampy red or natural nude shades!

7. E.l.f Matte Lip Color- $3

I’ve owned this lip color in shade Wine, and used it frequently for YEARS and have yet to run out, thanks to the super long bullet. It is very long wearing and easy to apply on the go.. At $3 and so many shades, you can’t go wrong with this!

Tip: Since the bullet is super long and skinny, any of the lip colors can double as an easy lip liner!

Thanks for reading!

Hopefully you’ll pick one (or all!) of these up next time you’re looking for new makeup to try out!
