While Los Angeles may not be the greatest place to show off your oversized sweater or admire autumn foliage, there are other ways to get in the fall spirit! Here are 5 things you can do this October in Los Angeles :

- Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch : Open from October 3rd until October 31st, Mr. Bones is a great place for you and a group of friends to find great pumpkins for carving! Even if you aren’t a pumpkin carving expert it is a great excuse for you and some friends to take cute fall pictures!
- Haunted Hayride: Halloween Horror Nights is great, but might be too scary for some. If you are looking for a a way to part take in the Halloween fun, the Haunted Hayride is a great alternative. Tickets are $30 and can be bought at  http://www.losangeleshauntedhayride.com .
- West Hollywood Halloween Carnival : This carnival is the best way to spend your Halloween! You are sure to spot some of the most creative costumes here. There is great music, food, and a celebrity guest host. The event is free, all you need now is a great costume!
- Beach Bonfire: While this is usually done in the summer, LA’s Indian Summer weather makes it the perfect fall activity. The good news is you will have better luck finding a spot , as the intense summer crowds should have died down by now.
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Halloween Half Marathon & 5K: You can get dressed up in your costume and run for a great cause! The race will benefit the ASPCA, and you can run the half marathon or go for the shorter 5k. Either way, its a great way to burn off the Halloween candy. You will want to wear your best costume because you can also compete in a costume contest!
