Flying Alone for the First Time: A Gif Experience

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LMU chapter.

– Waking up the morning of your flight and checking in early… only to realize you didn’t get TSA Pre-check

– Staring at your closet wondering if you really need that jacket for the three days you’ll be home

– Figuring there will probably be 3 parties and many family gatherings over the one weekend so yeah…take it all

– Sitting on your suitcase for 20 minutes trying to close it while refusing to take anything out because it’s all “necessary”

– Having that feeling that you’re definitely forgetting something and your mom isn’t there to supply a checklist

– Finally getting out the door just to wait for the shuttle for another hour

– Arriving at LAX to see hundreds of people outside because guess what…it’s the busiest travel time of  the year

– Somehow getting through security in just 15 minutes without getting stopped

– Sitting at the gate realizing your Spotify playlists aren’t downloaded, which means you have nothing to do…for the next 6 hours

– Standing awkwardly in the aisle of the plane just trying to find your seat and a place to put your suitcase

– Almost dropping your bag on someone trying to get it up in the overhead compartment

– Trying to sleep for the next 6 hours and utterly failing as usual

– Finally landing…only to have your suitcase get stuck in the compartment

– Meeting your mom in the baggage claim and finally going home

– Wait… it’s 10 DEGREES???!!!
