How I feel about finally not being judged for wanting pumpkin spice everything because it’s officially October!

Okay, let’s face it. Los Angeles is one of the worst places to be during the fall because there’s no chilly weather, no changing leaves and no crisp fall scent in the air. But, fear not! There are still many things to do in Los Angeles to get in the fall spirit without needing pumpkin spice latte weather. Here are some of the best fall things to do in and around Los Angeles.

1. Rooftop Cinema Club // West Hollywood

The Rooftop Cinema Club is a movie theater on a rooftop in West Hollywood. Throughout the entire month of October the cinema club presents different Halloween movies that are sure to spark your interest. They screen everything from classic Halloween to Clue to The Shining. Tickets start at $19 and are so worth the incredible view you get from this rooftop theater!

2. Mr. Bone’s Pumpkin Patch // Culver City

Who says LA can’t have a pumpkin patch! They have everything from pumpkins, a straw maze and even a petting zoo! Not to mention how many cute Instagram photos you’ll be able to take in front of their pumpkin wall…that will probably be reason enough to go for most of you. It’s the perfect way to ring in fall and celebrate the season of pumpkin spice and everything nice.

3. Calabasas Pumpkin Festival // Calabasas

If you’re looking to take a short drive out of LA, you can find pumpkins galore at the Calabasas pumpkin festival. This annual festival has all the fun festivities you could ever desire complete with a pumpkin patch, pumpkin carving station, food, music and more! And, if you’re 21, they even offer pumpkin beer in their famous beer garden.

4. Knott’s Scary Farm // Buena Park

If you’re really into the thrill, check out Knott’s Scary Farm. An endless haunted house, thrill seekers can enjoy all the perks of Knott’s Berry Farm, but with a Halloween twist. All the rides are altered to the theme of Halloween and the farm is crawling with scary characters sure to keep your heart pounding. You can visit select nights from September 21 through Halloween.

5. LA Haunted Hayride // Los Angeles

Themed to clowns this year, the LA haunted hayride is a crowd favorite every year. Take a ride through the woods and scare yourself with clowns and other creatures lurking about. If you’re in for the thrill this is a great way to get in the spirit of Halloween, but I for one, would rather stay home.
