Is Candy Corn Good or Gross?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LMU chapter.

There are many great parts of Halloween: the cute costumes, the spooky decorations, the scary movies. The absolute best part of Halloween, however, is the candy. Unfortunately, the topic of Halloween candy can be divisive, and not all candy is created equal. As the undisputed authority on all things candy, I will settle this debate once and for all and decide whether candy corn, the most controversial candy of all time, is good or bad.

Candy corn is only alright taste-wise, but it is so aesthetically appealing that I have to endorse it. The flavor reminds me of buttercream frosting, but the texture is a little waxy. I like it but I hate myself for liking it.

Is it acceptable: Yes, candy corn is a good candy. It is not the perfect candy to give out to trick-or-treaters, but it is a good candy for putting in a candy bowl for decoration or snacking.
