If you are like me and have mid-life crisis’s every other week, a drastic change in appearance can feed that urge to flip your life upside down. I use the word ‘drastic’ because each time I change my hair it is comparable to bringing a new child into this world and having no idea what to do with it. The choice of getting extensions was extremely emotionally driven, and they were not exactly an inexpensive spontaneous life moment. However, I must say the benefits exceeded the costs in this case. Here’s what you need to know about extensions:

1. Extensions are the nose job of fixing your hair. If you want it done right, you have to be willing to roll out the dough.

2. With that said, I recommend getting the tape-in extensions because they not only are the most healthy, but also who has the time to put in and take out clip-in extensions every day? Not this girl.

3. Do you have annoying, thin hair that never seems to take any shape? Did you ever cut your hair short and immediately regret it? One word: extensions.

4. Maintenance is key. A major key, some might say. Make sure to get a brush that specializes in detangling, and conditioner that keeps those luscious (fake) locks shiny and healthy.

5. Just like Kylie Jenner’s lips, THEY CHANGED MY LIFE. My hair was bigger and better and therefore my confidence and self-love magnified as well.

Some might frown upon artificially altering your outward appearance, but hey, extensions are temporary. Let the haters hate because happiness is first!!
