Sushi is always a great option. It’s perfect for a date night, going out with friends, or even a lunch alone. As a foodie and avid sushi lover myself, I have tried almost every sushi place in Los Angeles. If you really like sushi, then definitely give these places a try:

1. Sushi Fumi:

359 N La Cienega Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90048

Sushi Fumi is a cute restaurant in the center of West Hollywood. It’s a casual spot that is not too pricey and the fish is super fresh. They don’t take reservations so there’s always a wait, but it’s definitely worth a try!

2. Kazu Nori:

4635 Admiralty Way #107, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

With multiple locations throughout LA, Kazu Nori is the best place to get a handroll. Also not pricey (about $5 a handroll), Kazu Nori is owned by the owner of Sugarfish and brings the best quality and simplicity of sushi. They also don’t take reservations, but if you go at an off-time the wait is not bad. I suggest the toro hand roll, it’s my favorite.

3. Wabi on Rose:

512 Rose Ave Ste F Venice, CA 90291

Wabi is definitely the cutest place on this list. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and is a great spot for both lunch and dinner. The sushi is amazing and they have some creative rolls on the menu. Wabi is a little bit pricier but it is worth going at least once. I suggest trying the Crispy Rice 2.0 and Midnight Rain.

4. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar:

2130 Sawtelle Blvd Unit 111, Los Angeles, CA 90025

This is a fun spot for a night out with friends. Everyone is seated along a conveyor belt and there are almost no servers. Instead, you order off of a screen and it is delivered to you. There is also sushi on the conveyor belt where you can just pick up the sushi you want. It is not the best sushi ever, but it is a fun experience and is very inexpensive. They don’t take reservations, but they do have an app where you can add yourself to a waitlist.

5. Yamashiro Hollywood:

1999 N Sycamore Ave Hollywood, CA 90068

Yamqashiro is an expensive restaurant, but it is worth going for the view. Located on a holl in the middle of the city, this restaurant has breathtaking views of Los Angeles. There is also a Japanese garden inside of the restaurant. They have creative sushi options and even have a sushi pizza. Although this place is very upscale, the views are a great reason to go for a light dinner in the hills.

6. HRB Experience:

10250 Santa Monica Blvd Westfield Century City Mall Los Angeles, CA 90067

Located inside the Century City Mall, this restaurant gives you a cool hand roll experience and is a great way to take a break from shopping. The handrolls come flat and they give instructions on rolling them yourself, so you get a sushi-rolling experience. Similarly to Kazu Nori, they have set combos so it is very easy to order. They don’t take reservations, but it is definitely a great place to try.
