2019 Oscars Fashion Review: My Top 5 Looks of the Night

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LMU chapter.

The 91st annual Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday February 24th. A beautiful day for an awards show and an even more beautiful day for some red carpet looks! Here are my top 5 looks of the night:

1. Lady Gaga

In her second look of the evening, Lady Gaga looked absolutely breathtaking in a Brandon Maxwell gown.

2. Regina King

Winner of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, Regina King stepped onto the red carpet in a beautiful white gown by Oscar De La Renta.

3. Julia Roberts

With her decision of skipping the red carpet, Julia Roberts surprised audience members when she presented in a hot pink Elie Saab gown.

4. Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez opted for the not-so-typical bodycon dress and walked the red carpet in gold, Tom Ford gown.

5. Billy Porter

Actor Billy Porter made a groundbreaking and very important outfit choice and fiercely walked the red carpet in a Christian Siriano tuxedo gown. Not only did he look stunning, his choice of fashion broke the barriers of gender roles in fashion on the red carpet.
