One of my best memories from summer and if we are being honest my life, was attending Her Conference 2016. If you didn’t get the chance to go here is an inside scoop on what I learned over the two day conference in New York.

1. Networking is the key to success. I cannot tell you how many times this was brought up over the two day conference, so obviously it is a good skill to learn no matter how awkward it may feel.

2. Juicy Couture tracksuits are back and I could not be more excited. #Trackisback so go ahead and prepare yourself for velour galore this winter

3. Embrace new outlets. Snapchat Discover is a way bigger deal than Cosmopolitan originally thought it would be, 7 million people read it everyday and I am one of them.

4. A passionate cover letter with a little humor thrown in can make all the difference. Anything that will make yours stand out from the other 500 they are probably reading is good to add.

5. Treat yourself!” Straight from the mouth of Bachelorette star and author Andi Dorfman, who buys herself a pair of shoes every time she is invited to a baby shower to make herself feel better.

6. Writing about sex can make your content go viral. No one wants to write it about it but everyone wants to read it.

7. Facebook Live is the next big thing according to multiple sessions at the conference. You must be open to embracing these new media outlets.

8. The lunch provided by Shake Shack was good but In n Out still has my heart.

9. Write down your goals. Seeing them everyday and having solid evidence of what you want will motivate you to accomplish anything you set your mind to.

10. Attending Her Conference was the best decision I made all summer. I left more motivated to obtain the any career I want than ever before, met so many inspiring collegiettes, and learned skills to help me reach my goals. And all because I joined Her Campus!
