Undiscovered: Leeds – The Final

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Leeds chapter.

BigOnRoad Records presents Undiscovered: Leeds searching for the best unsigned and original act from Leeds.

Back in November Her Campus Leeds was lucky enough to sit in during one of the auditions and watch a handful of very talented acts perform. Fast forward four months and the final is upon us. The event will be held at Oporto Bar on Call Lane (33 Call Lane, Leeds, LS1 7BT) on Tuesday 12th March, so save the date and put it in your diaries. With tickets selling fast, the final is likely to be a sellout so get yours as soon as you can from the Undiscovered website:
http://www.undiscoveredbor.co.uk/

With over 40 applicants the Undiscovered team have been working hard, searching high and low to find 6 finalists. The lucky winner will win a single record deal with BigOnRoad Records, an independent record company and Undiscovered will also be donating a proportion of the profits made from the event to The Ben Manning Music Foundation, a local charity who aim to help less privileged kids and bands who wish to learn and develop musically by offering financial support.

The Finalists:

Ella Rothwell

Ella describes her songs as being honest and open and her style as husky folk/pop with a few jazz influences, taking inspiration from artists she has grown up with like Suzanne Vega, Eagle-eye Cherry and Nina Simone.
