Style Blog: The Very Best Fashion Instagram Accounts

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Leeds chapter.

Admittedly, I am somewhat obsessed with Instagram. It’s the first thing I check in the morning and the last thing I look at before going to sleep. The good news is I’m not alone with my rather creepy obsession with the App; it has become a worldwide sensation with millions and millions of accounts boasting users such as Kim Kardashian and Anna Wintour. The App is great for a variety of reasons – whether it be to feel closer to your favourite celebrities, or to keep in touch with your friends.

My favourite use for Instagram is lusting over the style bloggers who are always filling up my feed. Instagram can be a little daunting when you don’t really know ‘who’s who’ in terms of style blogging or “floggers” (Fashion bloggers). There are hundreds and so whilst I can’t cover them all, I can provide some inspiration with accounts you may not have heard of!

If you are a style lover and new to Instagram, an obvious place to start is with fashion magazines. @voguemagazine and @elleuk are good examples. Alongside these I would recommend taking a gander at the Instagram accounts of fashion models like @caradelevinge and @joansmalls, but be warned that you will indefinitely become a green-eyed monster full of envy!

A little more down to earth accounts, that will, unfortunately still make you very jealous, are those of UK bloggers such as Sarah Ashcroft  (@Sarahashcroft) aka That Pommie Girl. Sarah is a fashion blogger from Buckinghamshire. Her Instagram account is full of fabulous fashion buys from mainly high street stores. Her account also allows you to delve into the world of a fashion blogger as she regularly posts photos of product launches, behind the scenes of photo shoots and wardrobe previews.

Secondly, Caroline Burke also known as @Burkatron. Caroline’s account originated as a nail and beauty account but now features style, lifestyle, homewares, DIYs and more! Her blog is a great read and I would highly recommend following her across all forms of social media. Her Instagram account @Burkatron is full of amazing ideas that you can try yourself as well as featuring products that we can actually afford (yay).

Charlotte Fisher’s blog entitled “Things I do, think and buy” is another example of a down to earth girl who lives a very beautiful stylish life. The @charlottefisher instagram account constantly fuels my fashion inspiration with outfit ideas and recommended seasonal pieces.

Alternatively there are larger fashion organisations that are more luxury buys rather than high street . Examples include See Want Shop (@seewantshop), Fashion in Flux (@fashioninflux) and The Lust List (@thelustlist) which features beautiful illustrations of luxurious products.

If I have inspired you to try it out and follow some new accounts remember that the most important account to follow is @her_campus_leeds!!
