So that’s it, semester one is already over, and Christmas is just 10 days away, how exciting!

Our Her Campus Leeds team has been so busy over the past three months. Starting with our Freshers Fair stall at Leeds University Union where we promoted Her Campus to new students who were interested in writing, editing and posting on social media. The stall was a huge success and we had over 100 emails, go us!

Our very first social was hosted at the launch party for Junkyard Golf Club where there was mini golf, cocktails and all the sweet treats you could imagine! It was such a good night where the team got to bond over mini nachos and burgers as well as one to many lambrinis… oh and golf!

Now, who doesn’t like the Devil Wears Prada? The film starring the wonders of Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway is such a classic. We decided to host a film screening at the university with lots and lots of pizza, which was a cute evening for us to bond some more and live out our feminist magazine dreams through the big screen!

The University of Leeds have introduced events called ‘Give it a Go’ or ‘GIAG’ for short. This is where students who aren’t members of Her Campus Leeds can come and get a taster of what we offer as a society. The room that we booked was full and everyone was participating in creating mood boards and a five round quiz where the winning team got some Her Campus goodies! (oh, and we had more pizza!)

To finish the semester, we decided to organise a Christmas social where we treated our wonderful team to a 3-course meal at The Liquorist for all their hard work. We took a trip to the Leeds Christmas markets beforehand and had some delicious hot chocolate before digging into our roast dinners. What a way to end the year! We can’t wait to start again in the New Year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Her Campus Leeds.
