Motel Rocks is the brand made for student life. We like short shorts, body-con dresses and everything that gives us that extra oomph. A girl likes to dress up, look good and keep her wardrobe fresh, enter Motel Rocks. Their designs will make you stand out from the crowd in the best way possible. So here’s my selection of pieces from this year’s collection that need to be added to your wardrobe.

Day

Shirt, £38

This fitted leopard shirt will spice up any outfit. The eye catching print is so chic and an easy way to bring an autumn trend from the catwalk to uni. Wear it any way you like, with a pair of skinny jeans or tied up with high waisted shorts!

Shorts, £22

A pair of silky shorts in midnight blue, what more needs to be said? Winter doesn’t really mean you have to cover up. These shorts are the perfect way to show off your pins. With a flattering high waist and hot pants cut you can pair them with anything your heart desires. That new monochrome top? Why of course.

Jumper, £44

What would autumn be without a cosy jumper? This over-sized knit will keep you feeling warm and looking great. The striking monochrome makes it both timeless and trendy. Worn over jeans or with a pair of tights, always add a belt to highlight your amazing waist.

Jeans  £48.00

These trousers have been a huge favourite on the motel website and you can see why. Not for the faint hearted, these trousers are actually very flattering. Most girls shy away from stripes but vertical ones actually elongate your legs. They’re perfect way to complement the jeans’ skinny fit.  If you want to try something new, now is your chance.

Jeans, £42.00

Coloured jeans are wardrobe staples, so get your hands on this pair! The delicate wine colour is quite rare on the high street but perfect for adding a little colour into any grey day. Motel offers a flattering ‘pencil’ fit for all figures, less daunting then skinny jeans.

Black and Gold Stud Tights, £13

Yes, these tights are studded. With these in your wardrobe, tights will never be boring again.

Satchel,  £39.00

Satchels are everywhere, so it’s time to get yours. Motel’s Mia is perfect for uni and days in town. You’ll have your hands free and look fabulous. The adjustable strap and buckles will make your life that much easier. Its bright red colour will bring any outfit to life. Inside, there’s extra storage with two front pockets and a zip pocket. And did I mention the yellow lining? This bag will brighten up any day.

Night

Motel Gina Paisley, £42.00

You might think, “been there done that” or “doesn’t everyone own one”. Well this is the body-con revamped. With a lace appliqué detail and a dipped back, this conservative looking dress is actually a show stopper. The long sleeves make it perfect for that taxi wait outside the club, while its tight fit will hug your body in all the right ways. Available in blue, red and black there is no reason not to get one.

Motel Honey Mini Dress, £48

This dress accentuates all the right places. Fitted at the top and a flared out skirt means the best parts of you are highlighted.  The lace detailing draws attention to your face. The monochrome colours are ever so chic, and means you can pair the dress with shoes from any colour of the rainbow!

Motel Breana Playsuit, £52

It’s play-suit time! All eyes will be on you in this vibrant colour. The play-suit has a seductive vixen feel with quite a close fit. The cap sleeves and open collar will slim your shoulders.  Nipped in at the waist to give you an hour glass figure, it’s a hassle free outfit perfect for any occasion, just add shoes.

Bralette, £22

The bralette crop mixes a flattering vest top fit with a sexy cage back for those nights out. But the beauty of this garment is its versatility. Pair it with skirts, shorts and trousers, the possibilities are endless. Wear it with this season’s mid length skirt or those hot pants you’ve been dying to wear and show a little skin. Daring fashionistas can rock the midrift look. For the less daring but equally stylish, simply tuck the bralette into something high waisted. Et viola!

Shorts, £22

These dazzling shorts are a great way to wear print on a night out. The cosmic design is oh so chic and its neutral colours mean you pair it with whatever you like. The light material of the shorts won’t weigh you down on the dance floor. You could tuck your favourite top into these high waisted babies or simply layer them under a baggy t-shirt. Make sure to keep the top half simple so you don’t take any attention away from the shorts.

Playsuit, £38

You can never have too many play-suits! Stand out from the crowd in this ode to Japan. The halter neck is made to flatter all and the beautiful cherry blossom print gives it a sophisticated feel. The play-suit will cinch you in at the waist to create that hour glass shape Gok Wan would die for. And did I mention the pockets? On nights out they are a girl’s best friend. Enjoy a bag free night with your essentials safely tucked away.
