Well it’s been a hectic year for our celebs! We’ve had baby booms and divorce rates up and the emergence of new celebrity couples going down. So join us as we look back at this year biggest make ups, break ups and celebrity shake ups of 2011.

January

The end of 2010 and the beginning of January 2011 saw Frankie Sandford moving on quite happily from her ex, McFly bass guitarist Dougie Pointer. The lucky man was footballer Wayne Bridge, securing Frankie’s fate as a new up- and- coming WAG. The couple have managed to last a full year as they are still dating today.

February

The season of Two and a Half Men was cut short in February this year, after actor Charlie Sheen began an alcohol fuelled rant about the producer of the show. He was later axed and writers killed the character of Charlie Harper off (in true Hollywood style) by having him run over by a train. He was later replaced by Ashton Kutcher, who coincidently is now having his own personal life problems (see November). Could the role be cursed?

March

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez finally went public in March 2011. The teens, who were rumoured to be dating since late 2010, were spotted kissing at a Vanity Fair award ceremony. Since then they’ve been seen frolicking on Miami Beach and have even rented out entire cinema theatres for some privacy. And it didn’t stop there; Bieber continued to catch the attention of the media throughout 2011, as on November 2nd a fan claimed he had fathered her child after a concert. Bieber fiercely denied the claims and was willing to do a paternity test in order to prove his innocence. Since then the allegations have quietened down, especially after the mother was sent death threats by fans of Justin, the self titled ‘Bliebers’.

April

Easily the biggest wedding of the year (if not the last few decades) was on Friday 29th April. The world got to sit, watch and get the day off work as Prince William married his beautiful bride Kate Middleton at Westminster.  The entire wedding, including the wedding dress (designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen) was a fairytale. But Kate and Wills were not the only people that caught our attention that day, and so came the new admiration from the male species (and us girls a little bit too) of Pippa Middleton’s derrière…

May

The 26th May this year came with shock, as Newcastle’s ‘pet’ and the nation’s sweetheart Cheryl Cole got axed from the U.S.  X Factor just three weeks after she landed the job. Rumours circulated that she was homesick, but it became apparent that producers were not happy with her Geordie accent and lack of chemistry with fellow judge Paula Abdul. Nicole Scherzinger quickly took her place and Cheryl has since tried to stay out of the limelight (with further speculation of reconciliation with cheating ex husband Ashley Cole). Poor old Chezza!

June

One of the most momentous months of our lives as Take That and Robbie Williams reunited on the ‘Progress’ tour. Singing our old favourites ‘Never forget’ and ‘Relight my fire’ as well as the show opening with ‘Rule the World,’ meant there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. We couldn’t help singing at the top of our lungs, especially when Robbie Williams sang ‘Angels’. Everybody… “And through it alllllllll…”

July

The end of July came with the saddest celebrity news of the year after Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London home on Saturday 23rd July. An inquiry into her death showed the 27 year old was five times over the drink driving limit when she died. Since then the tributes have poured in and Amy’s dad Mitch Winehouse set up The Amy Winehouse Foundation for other young people suffering with addiction. Her Album ‘Lioness, Hidden treasures’ then secured number one on the album charts on 11th December.

July Continued: Also in this month Victoria Beckham gave birth to her fourth child and first baby girl; Harper Seven, meaning she now has the most perfect husband and family in the universe!

July was a very busy month for our celebrities as J.Lo and husband Marc Anthony called it quits after two children and seven years together.

August

Beyoncé Knowles announced she was pregnant at the MTV awards on 28th August! The mother to be and husband Jay-Z have been together for 11 years. They married in 2008 and are known as one of the biggest power couples in the music industry. The baby was born earlier this month, welcome to the world Blue Ivy Carter!

September

The end of August/beginning of September saw the reconciliation of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. The couple, who split in March this year after four years together, are now said to be back on, ending speculation that JT might get back with his ex Cameron Diaz.

October

After one big fairytale wedding, many reality TV show contracts and 72 days of marriage, newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries ended their marriage at the end of October. The couple only dated for six months prior to their wedding and many critics are now saying the whole marriage was a hoax in order to bring in the dollars. The wedding pictures alone reportedly raked in over 1.5 million dollars for the pair. Then when it came to the split, Kris Humphries was apparently unaware about the divorce papers heading his way, yet spoke to E! News almost immediately afterwards about his shock. Not really the act of a heartbroken groom!? Hmmm…

October Continued Irish Boy band and musical sensations Westlife announced they would be going their separate ways after fourteen years together, sob! The boys whose emotive music has helped us through many a break up will be ending their time together with a goodbye tour in 2012.

November

Mid November saw one of Hollywood’s power couples Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore split after rumours of Kutcher’s infidelity. The couple were married for 6 years despite the unlikely romance, (there was a 13 year age gap between the two). Demi released a statement through her publicist saying “it is with great sadness and with a heavy heart that I have decided to end my 6 year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life.” Kutcher then tweeted “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail.

December

December seems to have been filled with reality TV gossip; we saw Mark Wright admitting he is still in love with ex Lauren Goodger on ‘I’m a celebrity…get me out of here’ and Dougie Pointer being crowned king of the Jungle! Continuing McFlys success, Harry Judd was also awarded the glitter ball trophy after winning ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ (he got our votes as soon as we saw his beautiful torso in a glittering red shirt…phwoar)!

December Continued The month also saw Little Mix crowned winners of the X Factor, but what was more interesting was what was going on back stage. Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack has been seen getting cosy with One Direction’s Harry Styles. The pair shared a kiss back in October and have seemed to be getting closer ever since, despite the 15 year age gap. Pictures tweeted by Harry show he’s more than happy to let things develop…The picture below reads ‘To Flackster! Never too old… Let’s make it happen!! Lots of love <3 Harry S xx

So much gossip and only twelve months of the year to fit it all in! It shall be interesting to see what awaits us from our lovely Celebs in 2012…but as for 2011, it has been a corker!

Happy New Year Everyone!
