Party season is very nearly upon us and I don’t know about everyone else but I am getting excited. With the mad rush of end of term deadlines and the realisation that we break up in a mere few weeks I plan to be ahead of the game and get party planning!

Christmas parties are inevitable, be it a family get together or meeting up with friends, glamour and glitz are essential, because if you cannot get dressed up at

Christmas when can you?! Finding the perfect dress to dazzle the other partygoers is key but what cannot be ignored is ACCESSORIES, because let’s be honest, they can make or break an outfit. A little dramatic, but they are not to be overlooked, and should be given the same amount of attention as the dress itself.

When it comes to planning my outfits I am always torn between making a statement or looking classic, so try to mix between the two. A great pair of heels can be hard to find with so many different styles to choose from it can be daunting.

When looking for a great party pair of shoes to wow the crowds Office is always my first stop. Shoe designer Jeffery Campbell has revolutionized the high heel, creating wacky and daring heels, being admired by super stars such as Lady Gaga and Jessie.

These shoes would definitely generate some attention and I can safely say all eye would be on you. Being a bit pricier retailing at £140.00 these shoes are a real fashion commitment and have to be fully embraced. However, just a word of warning you may want to go easy on the champagne or alternatively have the support of a strong handsome man all night to avoid numerous stumbles and falls.

In complete contrast, if Gaga is really not the look for you I have found a suitable substitute. If you fancy going for a more demure look and aren’t quite as confident when walking in heels, I find Kurt Geiger do great, delicate styles.

This leopard print pair would look great with an elegant black cocktail dress, adding glamour with the leopard print and red rim, making them look more expensive. The thin heel also makes these heels especially flattering.

Heels look great and I love them but by the end of the night nothing is worse, then having to stumble into a cab looking incredibly unladylike and nearly breaking your ankle in the process. I used to just suck it up and endure it, in turn embarrassing myself in front of everyone. Until the day my mum forced these fold away shoes upon me, and I have to admit I have never been so grateful. If you forget one thing when running out of the house before going out, make sure it isn’t these.

These ballerina pumps are a genius invention by Scholl and girls across the country will be eternity grateful. Easily folded into your clutch bag they are an essential… because as much as I love heels they do have a tendency to shorten your night, but with these nifty numbers you can party all night long this Christmas.
