Celebrity Style Blog: Wear Your Christmas Jumper Like a Celeb

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Leeds chapter.

It’s official. Wearing a jumper with Father Christmas and Rudolph on is now not only socially acceptable, but also fashionable. From the sparkliest to the subtle, Christmas jumpers are a must-have this year. And to add to this, we can raise money for a great cause whilst wearing one!  A number of celebrities, including Fearne Cotton, Frankie Bridge, and Myleene Klass have joined with Save The Children to promote #xmasjumperday this Friday (12th December) and ‘make the World better with a sweater.’

With the fact that participating only costs £2, and Topshop now have their own Christmas jumper range, there is no reason not to participate and throw a festive jumper on to wear to uni this Friday. Plus, you’ll gain an excuse to invest in a new Christmas jumper!  This year the Government will match your money; doubling every £ you donate.

Not to worry, if you need some woolly wonder inspiration on how to work your Crimbo jumper like a celeb, we have it for you right here.

Lauren Conrad looks as fab as ever in this understated cream jumper with a festive twist, teamed with tight leather pants (can be replaced with black skinny jeans if you’re not feeling as bold.) Pair with black heel boots. Whilst Lauren spent £220 on this Net-A-Porter jumper, we have found a similar one for just £15 from boohoo.com, see below.

For those of you feeling festive, Millie Mackintosh went all out with her choice of Christmas jumper last year; snowflakes, reindeers and all. Pair with a beanie and leather skirt for the perfect seasonal look. For a similar ‘out there’ style, see below.

We heart this crazy patterned ‘trainee elf’ jumper from Asos, £35.

It’s OK: we know the light-up christmas pudding numbers aren’t everyone’s mince pie. For a more casual look, pair a patterned jumper with burgundy jeans and knee-high boots like Taylor Swift. Similar style jumper below.

It’s true, there is the perfect Christmas jumper out there for everyone. So, if you haven’t already, make sure you sign up for #xmasjumperday 2014 at http://jumpers.savethechildren.org.uk/sign-up or text WOOLLY to 70050 to donate £2, and save lives.
