Katy Perry managed to grab this year’s MTV Europe Music Best Look award; fighting off fierce competition against fashionista nominees Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj. Judging by some of Katy’s past incredible looks, we’re not surprised.
It is safe to say that Kitty Kat has definitely undergone the process of a style evolution over her years of fame; she is not one to take a back seat when it comes to fashion. Katy has taken us from California to Egypt in her music videos. A carousal on a dress, a half groom/ half bride and a smurf outfit have been just some of Katy’s fashion statements. Her hair has been through all the colours of the rainbow; including various shades of blue, pink and purple. And yet, she still manages to pull it off.

Katy worked the lady in red look in this amazing sequinned Zuhair Marad fishtail gown, at the Vanity Fair 2010 red carpet event. Teamed with a sparkling red clutch and Jimmy Choo heels, Katy looked dazzling. Lend us your outfit (oh, and face) for our Christmas social, Pez? No? Worth a try.

Also in 2010, Katy’s outfit is similar to that of her ‘California Girls’ video look, at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. The 3D-like flower corset and pink bodycon skirt make a super cute look, fit for an angel. Pout it out, Perry.

Katy rocks the blue carpet in 2011 at the Smurfs Premiere. She makes sure her voice is heard, wearing an embellished minidress of her character Smurfette, even in the same shape as Smurfette’s own dress from the film!

Taking a mother nature-like approach to style, Katy oozes glamour in this Gucci long- sleeved mint gown at the 2013 Grammy Awards. She ditched the electric blue hairpiece from the previous year’s Grammies, and went back to black. The smokey eye and middle parting piece add to this earthly look.
We think it’s fair to say, Katy is a deserved winner for the Best Look award. She has a unique look differing from whacky and fun, to flirty and sexy and is not afraid to make a statement and stand out from the crowd. We hope that you’re as excited as us to see what her 2015 wardrobe has in store!
