Alexandra Burke: WAG?

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke is reported to be romantically involved with English footballer Jermain Defoe  since taking their friendship to the next level two weeks ago. Neither have yet confirmed the relationship, however Burke’s recent tweets seem to suggest otherwise. Last Wednesday she tweeted; ‘You know when you get butterflies because you miss someone a little too much. That’s me right now tbf *18*<3’, and with the number 18 being Defoe’s shirt number at Tottenham Hotspur, it is hard to imagine she is talking about somebody else...

Stacey Solomon Shamed for Smoking whilst Pregnant

Shocking pictures were revealed this week of Stacey Solomon smoking in an alley way during a break in her photo shoot whilst in her seventh month of pregnancy. Solomon has admitted to being a part time smoker in the past; however fans were shocked to see she had carried on with the habit despite carrying a child. Since the revelation, Solomon has done numerous interviews in an attempt to explain her actions. In an appearance on This Morning the singer appeared visibly distressed that these pictures had been released, and admitted to being very ashamed of her actions. When speaking to Max Clifford she explained of her difficulty in quitting smoking since becoming pregnant; “It’s not just because everyone knows now. It’s something that I don’t want to do and that I’m not happy doing so it’s horrible.” Stacey has since been axed from several Celebrity Mum of the Year competitions.

Jameela Jamil to Join Radio One

T4 presenter Jameela Jamil has been confirmed to being given her own show on one of the UK’s biggest radio stations.  The recruitment comes as part of Radio 1’s schedule shake up, which will see Jamil taking over the request show on Sunday evenings between 7 and 9pm, to which she has said  is a ’dream come true.’ Jameela has also said she is hoping listeners will be judging her on her performance, and added that she ‘hopes people give her a chance.’ Other changes include the swapping of Scott Mills and Greg James, with James now running the weekly drive time slot between 4 and 7pm and Mills moving to day-time. The changes will be in place as of 2nd April.

Girls Aloud Reunion

Rumours of Girls Aloud reuniting have been floating around for several years now, and the one member to never express a desire to return had been Nadine Coyle, however, this week Nadine herself has confirmed that ‘it’s time to come back.’ After a failed solo career, it seems Coyle and her band mates are willing to put any differences behind them by embarking on an arena tour with the possibility of new music. Kimberley Walsh has also expressed her excitement of being part of the girl band again, and explained that the reunion will be a celebration of their 10 year anniversary. There has however been no confirmation from Nicola Roberts, who, like Cheryl have been focussing hard on her solo career. Nicola has also been quoted saying she is unsure of whether Sarah will want to join the tour.

Eva Longoria Single

Eva Longoria has supposedly decided to split from her boyfriend of a year Eduardo Cruz. The decision seems to have come at a peculiar time considering the pair were pictured looking very smitten on a romantic holiday on a yacht last month to celebrate their anniversary. However, Eduardo, who met Eva through his sister Penelope Cruz, has now reportedly flown home to his native country of Spain, whilst Eva is remaining in Los Angeles to focus on the end of Desperate Housewives. Eva has not been lucky in love in the past, having previously been divorced twice, but had often spoken of her happiness of being within Eduardo despite their 10 year age gap. She has however also admitted to being ‘not good with dating’, which could explain the split.
