Simon Cowell has fired American X Factor judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger ahead of the next series in an attempt to beat the ratings of American Idol; his former show. As a result, all week the press have been speculating over who he will offer the jobs to, with big names such as Mariah Carey, Katie Perry and Nicky Minaj being tipped to join the show, as well as rumours over whether Cheryl will make a reappearance. It has also been reported that Cowell has offered superstar Beyonce $500million dollars to join the judging panel, and is desperate for a big female celebrity to take the job in order to pull in the viewers. Perhaps Beyonce’s best mate Kelly Rowland will persuade her to take the job after the wonderful time she had in the UK version…?

Atomic Kitten to Reunite

The Steps come-back last year was quoted to be the best return to the charts since Take That’s return in 2006, and seem to have inspired other 90’s pop bands to reunite with a come-back tour and album, with S Club 7, and now girl group trio Atomic Kitten rumoured as the next to reform. The band are looking to re-create the documentary series in a similar style to the one about Steps, however it is unclear as to which members will take part, as Kerry Katona was replaced by Jenny Frost after she quit the group in 2001. Other members, Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon are both currently performing in West End productions.

Cheryl Cole and MC Harvey

Everyone loves a celebrity Twitter feud, and this week it was between the nation’s sweetheart Cheryl Cole, and So Solid crew rapper MC Harvey. It all began when Harvey, ex-husband of Alesha Dixon, claimed in a magazine interview that he and Cheryl had engaged in a ‘secret relationship’ after her split from Ashley Cole. However Cheryl was not having any of it and took to her twitter page to publicly shame Harvey as a liar, writing; ‘was this “relationship” happening in your head @harveyofficial?! Are you smoking something?’, to which Harvey responded by claiming to have emails she sent him which proved they were together, and threatened to tweet some of the messages. Cheryl’s band mate Nicola Roberts stood up for her friend and tweeted the hash-tag #shedoesntdoemailsshedoesphonesex, which of course would thrill much of the male population of Britain in being given an insight into Cheryl Cole’s sex life…

Sienna Miller Pregnant

She was rumoured to be both pregnant AND engaged at the start of the week, however it has been confirmed that she IS pregnant, but NOT engaged. Sienna and her boyfriend Tom Sturridge have been dating for over a year and are said to be thrilled to be expecting their first child together. Sienna’s sister and business partner Savanah Miller told fashion magazine Vogue that Sienna is ‘doing really well’ in regards to her pregnancy, whilst her former Step-Mother Kelly Hoppen said in an interview that she is ‘definitely not engaged or getting married.’ Sienna and Tom themselves, however, are yet to comment on either of the rumours.

Rihanna Turns Blonde

Rihanna has been through many a hair style during her reign over the charts, however she emerged this week with one she has never been seen with before, described by the Daily Mail as ‘similar to that of Rod Stewart’. She had been asked by fans if she was wearing a wig, but replied on twitter that she had had her hair bleached and weaved for a cover shoot with women’s magazine ELLE.
