On Campus, We Wear PINK

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Leeds chapter.

If there’s one thing in the world that unites all women, it’s the knowledge of the importance of a well-fitting bra. Avoiding ‘double-boob,’ keeping your straps on your shoulders while also finding something with enough lift to defy the laws of gravity is an all too common problem. Finding the perfect style, fit and something that makes you feel pretty is not an easy task.

That’s why Her Campus Leeds are incredibly pleased to be collaborating with PINK. PINK is the line of Victoria’s Secret which dedicates itself to comfort, effortless style and, most importantly, students! The range includes a huge variety of campus chic, including lovely leisure wear (perfect to throw on in preparation for a day of essay writing in Eddy B), a stylish sports range and of course masses upon masses of ultimate undergrad undies!

How though, I hear you ask, can underwear be specifically for students? Does the bra have a BA? Do the frillies go to Fruity? To get our questions answered, the Her Campus Girls headed over to the PINK Bra Fitting Event held in LUU last week, which provided the perfect platform for the launch of the Campus Bra.

Recently launched in the UK, the Campus Bra provides the perfect combination of style and comfort. The ultra-light material is super-soft, while the bra’s seamlessness means that it can be worn under pretty much anything. The bra comes in a light-lift option (which provides lift without hoisting your boobs up to your chin) or push-up style, perfect for accentuating what Mother Nature gave you. The bras come in various colours (I love the burgundy option pictured below) with matching undies which all share the same standard of quality and comfort. This bra is perfect for running up the stairs of the Roger Stevens Building (it’ll keep your boobs nicely in place, avoiding the potential for black eyes which comes with bra’s which don’t pass the ‘bounce test’). It’s also great for just lounging on the big armchairs in the Hidden Café. It’s pretty much impossible for it to rub or irritate you because it doesn’t have any annoying frilly bits to do so. In terms of comfort, style and wearability, the Campus Bra is graduating with a First from us.

As well as introducing us to this marvel, the launch event also featured free bra fittings (a service provided in all PINK stores) which, much to my embarrassment, revealed that I’ve actually been wearing the wrong sized bra for the last, well, since I hit puberty really! It’s crazy to think how much I moan about my bras, and how many times I’ve had the opportunity to get measured and haven’t. I would encourage all women to get fitted, because, as I have recently learned, it makes all the difference. Pair the free fittings with the exclusive give-aways and £10 vouchers being distributed at the event, we really couldn’t have asked for much more!

We had a great time pairing up with PINK, and are so happy to announce that you can expect lots more similar events in Leeds over the next few months. Keep your eyes on our HC calendar to be the first to know what’s happening and when. Until then, make sure you head down to PINK in the Trinity Centre to try out the Campus Bra and all the other PINK goodies for yourself. With so much to choose from, it won’t just be on Wednesdays that we’ll wear PINK.
