This summer has been a breakout for Netflix Originals. Stranger Things and The Get Down have become obsessions for everyone from celebs to Youtubers to the average person. If you haven’t heard about Strangers Things, you’ve either been living under a rock or having a really great summer. (TBH, I’m really jealous if you had an amazing summer.)
Stranger Things is the ultimate sci fi series. If you love the X Files and crime mysteries, this is the show for you! I was obsessed with Making a Murderer and I love conspiracy theories. It takes place in the 1980’s and is about 3 friends trying to find a missing kid. Of course, they have to deal with hiding it from their moms and going to school.They run into a monster and the CIA on the way.
The best part about Stranger Things is the amazing child actors! These kids are all around 12 years old and give some of the best performances I’ve ever seen. They are funny, sweet, and make you care about them. For me, Millie Bobby Brown is a breakout star! If Netflix shows were nominated for Oscars then she would get one. For majority of the season, her character doesn’t speak. This girl creates an amazing and dynamic character with about 10 lines and I absolutely LOVE her.
If you’re looking for something to watch or want to catch up on some pop culture, give Stranger Things a try.
